QR code is one of the matrix barcodes which is commonly used on many industrial products, virtual products, websites URL, wireless network encryption, also for storing any kind of text. Here’s an application allows to create QR codes for URLs, text, Geolocation, and WIFI network information. Also, I added some websites will help to decode the QR codes.
Qreator is QR code creator written in python. It has quite simple user interface includes 4 different methods to create QR codes for URLs, text, Geolocation “map coordinates”, and wireless network information such as type of encryption, SSID “network name”, password.
All QR codes can be exported as a PNG image file from the save button down below.
According to the maintainer of the repository the application will be available on the Ubuntu repository soon to install directly through Ubuntu software center.
For other operating system, you might want to check the APP store for IOS devices and windows phone marketplace as well.

Run Terminal “Ctrl+Alt+t”, then type
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:dpm/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install qreator

sudo apt-get install qreator
